In the morning, we will gather from 9:30 am at Sydney Showgrounds for workshops and experiences. The morning will also see headline Festival performers and presenters coming together for a unique concert experience.

In the afternoon attendees will make one of three proposed pilgrimages across Sydney, coming together in the Domain at the Royal Botanical Gardens for the closing Mass. Pilgrims will be transfers by trains to one of three stations to begin the pilgrimage outlined below:

St Mary Mackillop Shrine Pilgrimage
Interstate pilgrims are invited to travel to North Sydney station and pilgrimage past the final resting place of St Mary Mackillop, Australia’s first saint. Pilgrims will then walk to Milsons Point station and join other ACYF pilgrims as they pilgrimage over Sydney Harbour Bridge and then into the Domain.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Pilgrimage
Reliving the awesome experience of WYD08 when thousands of young pilgrims walked across Sydney Harbor Bridge on their way to the closing Mass with Pope Benedict XVI, ACYF pilgrims are invited to travel to Milson point station and walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and into the city. Pilgrims will encounter Circular Quay, the Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens on their way to the Domain for the closing Mass.

St Mary’s Cathedral Pilgrimage
A shorter, but no less spiritual pilgrimage for ACYF pilgrims will be to travel to St James Station and make a pilgrimage through the spiritual powerhouse and first Australian cathedral, St Mary’s Cathedral. The Mother Church of Australia, St Mary’s represent the foundation of the Catholic tradition in Australia, which is handed to the next generation through the ACYF2017 and Year of Youth.

N.B. Allocations on each pilgrimage are limited and final allocations will be at the discretion of the ACYF.

Closing Mass – Domain
The ACYF will close through the celebration of Eucharist with the people of Sydney in a public mass in the Domain at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Starting from 5:00 pm with a concert, the Mass will begin at 6.30pm and conclude by 8.30pm.

N.B. Details subject to change and will be confirmed closer to the ACYF.
